Ode to the Moon
I appear in the dark but radiate light, what am I?
I am the wakefulness of the spirit when truth descends
I am a memory of the past and a glimpse to the end
I wane and wax and show my whole self
Yet I crumble every turn, as the other sun melts
I am the beacon in the ocean, the eye of the night
I torment your heart, bring illusion to light
I’m blind but I see, my heart glows inside trees
A charmed chameleon in role
Playing every dreamer, every soul
