The Murky Depth of You and I

Out of the blue depths I found you

upon the poison sea

your name and mine

etched on the bones of lost souls

Upon the banks of death

you wept, calling me

from black eyes of sorrow

drowning in flesh

against the tides we dwelt

in waves of tears and salt blood

fending off the monsters

who lurked in dark lagoons

with my limbs I clamped yours

volatile like the tides,

a hurricane of danger

between your claws

Surrendering to our fate

we feasted on each other

as the moon made luminous

all of our sins
