The Wolf

you waited by the river for me

I was never late

the wind was silent in its screams

it knew our secret

the sky was black but for the eye of the moon

and blood falling

keeping watch as I crept down the cobbled stairs

black moss

covered in dark cloth and pointed

like a witch

I never flinched in my movements

burning blue eye

unchained your body down

lips wept

pink skin marked blue and red

we embraced

free to face the day without

the wolf

until tonight brings twilight

then I

will shackle you once more
